The 1st Meeting of the Council of Deans of Faculties of Education/Teacher Training in Thailand (CDEFT) in 2026.

On March 24, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, participated in the 1st/2026 meeting of the Council of Deans of Faculties of Education/Educational Sciences of Thailand (CDEFT), held from March 23-25, 2026, at the Samila 2 Meeting Room, BP Samila Beach Hotel & Resort, Mueang District, Songkhla Province. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss guidelines for developing teacher training and development in the country, as well as to exchange knowledge on educational management among higher education institutions in the nationwide network. During the meeting, an election was held for the President of the Council of Deans of Faculties of Education/Educational Sciences of Thailand. Assistant Professor Dr. Orraphan Toojinda was elected as President for a second consecutive term, reflecting her potential and confidence in driving educational work at the national level.

Workshop on "Learning Innovations that Promote Four Key Characteristics Using the PTRU Model"

On March 25, 2026, the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, organized a workshop on “Learning Innovations Promoting the Four Virtues Using the PTRU Model” at the Pairoj Duangwiset Meeting Room, Room 68-302, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. The objective was to transfer learning innovations to teachers of the Songkhla Rajabhat University Demonstration School, providing them with knowledge and understanding of learning management models that promote the four virtues and enabling them to apply them effectively. The target group was teachers from the Songkhla Rajabhat University Demonstration School. The workshop featured speakers in curriculum design and development: Assistant Professor Dr. Juraisiri Churak, Assistant Professor Dr. Panatchakorn Phitthiyakul, Dr. Montri Denduang, and Dr. Waraporn Kaewseewhite, who shared their knowledge and experience to develop teachers potential and upgrade learning management to align with the current educational context.

On March 25, 2026, the Master of Education program in Educational Administration, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, held the independent research examination for graduate students in room 68-313, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Dr. Paliwan Sittikarn chaired the examination. Three students presented their independent research: Ms. In-am Napalen presented on “The Relationship Between Transformational Leadership of School Administrators and Organizational Commitment of Teachers in Schools under the Satun Provincial Private Education Office”; Ms. Kulthida Noonunnuan presented on “Digital Leadership of School Administrators under the Phatthalung Primary Educational Service Area Office 1”; and Ms. Kamonchanok Maharakshit presented on “The Role of School Administrators in Managing Student Care and Support Systems”. Affiliated with the Songkhla Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, with Dr. Ath Chatthayawarakul as the advisor.

Held from March 23-28, 2026, the workshop aimed to develop teachers knowledge, understanding, and ability to effectively apply learning innovations focused on enhancing morality, ethics, and teacher professionalism. The target group was teachers from the Songkhla Rajabhat University Demonstration School. Speakers sharing their knowledge on morality, ethics, and teacher professionalism included Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dr. Montiva Chaiyaew, Dr. Ruttayawan Boonkrongcheep, and Ms. Hathairat Srichaichana. This was another important activity in upgrading the quality of teachers to align with current educational changes.

Workshop on "Enhancing English Language Skills for Teachers"

On March 19, 2026, Assistant Professor Ibrahim Yisunsong, Deputy Dean for Administration and Student Development, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop on “Enhancing English Language Skills for Teachers.” The workshop was held via Zoom Meeting for third-year students of the Faculty of Education. Dr. Ekaphon Pairoj served as the guest speaker, sharing his knowledge and experience in using English for teaching and learning. The workshop focused on developing essential skills for 21st-century teachers. This activity was a mandatory requirement set by the Teachers Council of Thailand, aiming to prepare student teachers with strong English language skills for effective application in their teaching careers.

On March 19, 2026, Ms. Warittha Tantipong, Head of the Dean s Office, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, organized an activity for support staff to share and exchange knowledge gained from training. This aimed to enhance work performance and promote collaborative learning within the organization. Knowledge was shared on various topics, including creating public relations materials using Grok AI (by Ms. Natthayan Noonlong) enhancing skills and efficiency in financial and fiscal regulations (by Ms. Nucharee Intrasombat) theoretical and practical training in Chin Sasama Meditation from the Institute of Mental Power (by Ms. Matana Chatchinda) defining specifications for procurement (by Ms. Angsulin Onthong and Ms. Yupadee Phansath) and applying NotebookLM to document work (by Ms. Papada Wichaiyut). This activity was part of the Faculty of Education s Knowledge Management (KM) initiative, enabling staff to apply the acquired knowledge effectively in their work and maximize benefits for the organization.

On March 19, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, chaired the 2nd/2026 meeting of the Faculty of Education s Executive Committee at Room Soi Raya 68-606, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. The Vice Deans, Assistant Deans, Program Chairs, Heads of Offices, and Heads of Units attended the meeting. During the meeting, congratulations and flowers were presented to Assistant Professor Dr. Maithai Chaiyapan on her completion of her doctoral degree, amidst an atmosphere of joy and celebration among the faculty administrators and staff.

From March 8-10, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, participated in the training program “Academic Service to the Community: Educational Innovation Area for Society” under the activities “Directions for Educational Development to Enhance National Security” at Laguna Grand & Spa Hotel, Songkhla Province. The objective of this participation was to provide participants with knowledge about the role of education in driving the sustainable development of Songkhla city in economic, social, and environmental dimensions. It also aimed to analyze and exchange knowledge about directions for educational development that align with the current and future contexts, thereby strengthening national security in terms of technology, human resource development, and improving the quality of life for the people.

On March 9, 2026, the Master of Education program in Educational Administration, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, held the independent research examination for graduate students in room 68-305, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Dr. Traiphumin Tritrisaworn presided over the examination. Two students presented their independent research projects: Sub-Lieutenant Amorn Khunjangwang presented on “The Role of Internal Supervision by School Administrators in the Songkhla Primary Educational Service Area Office 3,” with Assistant Professor Dr. Sarutipong Phuwatcharavaranon as his advisor. And Mr. Wetis Rohitopakan presented on “Digital Leadership of School Administrators and its Impact on the Implementation of Internal Quality Assurance Standards in Buddhist Temple Charity Schools in the Southern Region,” with Assistant Professor Dr. Rujiraphan Kongchuey as his advisor. This independent research examination is part of the process of developing the potential of graduate students to apply knowledge in educational administration in research and development of school management. This will lead to an improvement in the quality of education in the area.

The “Futsal Cup Competition: Fostering Relationships and Unity” project.

On March 7, 2026, Songkhla Rajabhat University organized the “Futsal Cup Competition: Fostering Relationships and Unity” at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Songkhla Rajabhat University. Assistant Professor Dr. Kantapon Mahamad, Vice President of Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony. The objectives of the competition were to encourage students to exercise and play sports for their health, to develop teamwork skills through sports competition, and to build good relationships between students from the Songkhla Rajabhat University Demonstration School and network schools. The competition was divided into two age groups: Under 10 years old (4 teams) and Under 12 years old (4 teams). Results for the Under 12 years old group: 1st Place: Songkhla Rajabhat University Demonstration School 2nd Place: Samai Suksa School 3rd Place: Wangdee School Results for the Under 10 years old group: 1st Place: Samai Suksa School 2nd Place: Songkhla Wittaya Foundation School Second Runner-up: Wangdee School The competition atmosphere was fun and full of energy from the young athletes. Besides being a platform to showcase athletic abilities, it was also an activity that helped build unity and good relationships among students from different schools.

Workshop on "Developing Teaching Materials for Early Childhood Teachers"

On March 7-8, 2026, the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, organized a workshop on “Developing Teaching Materials for Early Childhood Teachers” at the Pairoj Duangwiset Meeting Room, Room 68-302, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Assistant Professor Nidarin Julawan, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, presided over the opening ceremony. The target group was teachers from small schools and religious schools in Songkhla, Phatthalung, and Satun provinces. Distinguished faculty members from the Faculty of Education, including Assistant Professor Nisarat Boonmee, Assistant Professor Naiyana Yimma, and Assistant Professor Paksananut Hoisakul, served as speakers, sharing their knowledge and experience on designing and developing teaching materials for early childhood education. The workshop emphasized hands-on activities, enabling participants to effectively apply the knowledge gained to their teaching in their schools.

The workshop on research project management was held online via Zoom.

On March 5, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop on Research Project Management. The workshop was held online via Zoom and targeted faculty members from the Faculty of Education. Associate Professor Dr. Napakawat Buathong from Prince of Songkla University served as the lecturer and facilitator.

Workshop on "Preparing and Developing Essential Skills for Future Careers for Education Students (Graduate Level)"

On February 28, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop on “Preparing and Developing Essential Skills for Future Careers for Education Students (Graduation Ceremony)” at the Nirat Chorjit Meeting Room (68-307), Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Mr. Jakarin Kaewratana, Mr. Suphakin Onchan, and Lecturer Sakarn Rodklai were invited as guest speakers to share their experiences and knowledge to enhance the understanding and essential skills necessary for final-year education students careers as teachers. In the evening of the same day, a graduation ceremony for fourth-year students and a ceremony to honor teachers were held at the General Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Student Affairs Center Building, Songkhla Rajabhat University. The atmosphere was warm and touching, with students expressing their gratitude and thanks to the faculty members who imparted knowledge to them before embarking on their journey to become quality teacher graduates in the future.
