On October 22, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, along with the executive committee, faculty members, and support staff, participated in the Royal Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony at the 80th Anniversary Commemoration Hall, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Faculty members from the Faculty of Education jointly prepared a Kathina offering as a Buddhist offering and to create merit, as well as to express their loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty the King s benevolence. On October 23, 2025, a procession of boats carrying the Royal Kathina Robe will depart from the pier of the Rehabilitation Center for Workers, Region 5, to the pier of Wat Pa Khad, Pa Khad Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province, for the official offering ceremony.
On October 22, 2025, the Academic Service Division of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, continued its educational quality development by organizing Activity 1.2: a discussion with school administrators on the competency-based science teaching project: the BCG model and PISA science competencies. This activity was part of the larger project, “Developing Educational Quality and Local Development with Higher Education Institutions as Mentors,” and involved school administrators from Songkhla and Satun provinces. The aim was to foster understanding and gather feedback from administrators on supporting and promoting science learning that emphasizes PISA competencies and integrates the BCG Model (Bio-Circular-Green Economy), a key element in elevating educational quality to align with national development directions. Dr. Veerapan Charoenlikitkavin, a faculty member from the Faculty of Education, served as the main speaker, along with Ms. Pafan Buranatham and Ms. Sunanta Suwanna from the Songkhla-Satun Secondary Educational Service Area Office, who shared their experiences.
On October 21, 2025, at the Wanda Meeting Room (68-305), Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, an activity was held under the project "Developing the Quality of Education and Local Development with Higher Education Institutions as Mentors," on the topic of "Competency-Based Science Teaching: BCG Model and PISA Science Competencies." Activity 1.1 involved a discussion to gather information and design approaches, as well as prepare supporting documents, to develop science teachers ability to manage science learning focusing on PISA competencies integrated with the BCG Model. The activity was honored by the presence of Dr. Veerapan Charoenlikitkavin, a faculty member of the Faculty of Education, as the main speaker, along with Ms. Pafan Buranatham and Ms. Sunanta Suwanna from the Songkhla-Satun Secondary Educational Service Area Office, who participated as speakers, sharing knowledge and providing academic suggestions. The meeting and signing ceremony took place in the Aran Thammano Meeting Room, 8th floor, Administration Building 48, Songkhla Rajabhat University, to establish guidelines for the operation of internal university units in accordance with strategic goals and to promote efficient and transparent university management.
On October 20, 2025, the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, organized a workshop on "Thai Language Teachers Proudly Involved in Local Heritage" for students in the Bachelor of Education program, Thai Language major. Dr. Kamoltip Horpet and Assistant Professor Soisuda Chaiyalak served as speakers, providing knowledge and guidelines on integrating local wisdom into Thai language teaching.The activities were held both in the old town area of Songkhla City, Songkhla Province, to allow students to learn from real-world learning environments, and in the Pairoj Duangwiset Meeting Room, Building 68-302, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, for knowledge exchange and reflection on practical learning.
On October 17, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sopon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, chaired the 3rd 2025 meeting of the Faculty of Education s Standing Committee. The meeting was held both online via Zoom and in-person at Room 68-606, Faculty of Education. Distinguished experts, faculty representatives, curriculum chairpersons, and the Head of the Dean s Office participated in the meeting to consider and exchange ideas on important issues related to management, curriculum development, and ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of education within the Faculty of Education.
On October 15, 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the 6th Princess Maha Chakri Award Ceremony for the year 2025 at Impact Forum 2, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province. Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, was present to welcome Her Royal Highness at the ceremony, which was organized by the Princess Maha Chakri Award Foundation in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary-General of the Teachers Council of Thailand, Ministry of Education, along with government agencies and educational partners from both Thailand and abroad, to honor teachers who have made a transformative impact on their students lives and contributed to the sustainable development of education.

This event served as a platform for exchanging knowledge and developing collaborative work capabilities among faculty members. The activity aimed to promote collaborative work, support shared learning among personnel, elevate operational standards according to the Thailand PSF (Professional Standard Framework), and build a strong collaborative network within the Faculty of Education.
On October 16, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, presided over the opening ceremony of the orientation program for students before their teaching practice in schools (Phase 3). He also gave a motivational speech to inspire the students and emphasize the importance of the teaching profession. Associate Dean for Research and Professional Practice, Dr. Thapanawat Sukpala, served as a guest speaker, providing knowledge and guidance on preparing for teaching practice. The program also included a "Meeting with Academic Advisors" session, where students received close guidance and answered questions regarding their teaching practice. The atmosphere was warm and constructive, and students gained knowledge and inspiration to prepare for their future careers as professional teachers.
On October 10, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Euang Fah Games, Batch 2,” an internal sports competition for undergraduate students from all nine disciplines of the Faculty of Education. Organized by the Faculty of Education Student Club, the competition took place from October 10-12, 2025, at the Songkhla Rajabhat University sports field. The event featured a creative parade from each discipline and a fun aerobic dance performance before the various sports competitions, which were filled with unity and sportsmanship. The overall results showed that the “Mathematics Department” won first place, reflecting the teamwork, ability, and determination of the outstanding mathematics students in both sports and creativity. This competition aims to promote physical and mental health among students, foster teamwork, and strengthen relationships among students in the Faculty of Education.
On October 14, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, welcomed a delegation of teachers and educational personnel from Nakhon Ratchasima Panyanukul School, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, on the occasion of their study visit to the Faculty of Education s Soi Raya Meeting Room 68-606. Also present were Assistant Professor Ibrahim Yisunsong, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education; Assistant Professor Raksina Yodyoi; and Ms. Hathairat Srichaichana, Chair of the Bachelor of Education Program in Special Education–Thai Language and staff from the Special Education Support Unit. The visit focused on exchanging knowledge on integrated learning approaches, supporting students with special needs at the higher education level, and observing the Disability Support Services (DSS) center of the Faculty of Education. This center serves as a hub for teaching, media improvement, and creating an environment conducive to equitable learning for all students, leading to the development of high-quality learning for students with special needs.
On October 14, 2025, the Faculty of Education organized the Post-Teaching Practice Seminar 4 at the Nirat Chorjit Meeting Room (68-307), Faculty of Education. Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, presided over the opening ceremony and addressed the students with a motivational speech on the topic of "Dean Meets Students: Guiding Towards Becoming Professional Teachers. The seminar featured Associate Dean for Research and Professional Practice, Dr. Thapanawat Sukpala, as a guest speaker, who lectured on Seminar Reflecting on the Assessment of Teacher Professional Competencies According to the Teachers Council of Thailand s Criteria.
