On December 3, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, participated in the 4th/2025 meeting of the Council of Deans of Faculties of Education of Rajabhat Universities (CDE) at the Vanda Grand Ballroom B, 5th floor, Best Western Plus Vanda Grand Hotel, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. The meeting was held to exchange policies and directions for teacher development, as well as approaches to improving the quality of education, in accordance with the mission of Rajabhat universities nationwide. The focus was on producing and developing teachers with competencies that meet the needs of contemporary society.

This meeting served as a platform for exchanging ideas and approaches to educational development, as well as strengthening cooperation among faculties of education/educational sciences from universities nationwide. The goal is to improve the quality of teacher training and develop Thai education to be strong and keep pace with future changes.
On December 4, 2025, the administrators and support staff of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, jointly organized a Big Cleaning Day activity to commemorate the birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and to celebrate National Father s Day on December 5th. The event took place at Building 68 of the Faculty of Education and the gymnasium of Songkhla Rajabhat University. Participants cleaned the first-floor parking lot and the interior of the gymnasium. This activity reflects the collaborative spirit of the Faculty of Education s personnel, who are committed to doing good deeds to express their gratitude and remembrance of His Majesty s immeasurable benevolence.
From November 30th to December 4th, 2025, the administrators, faculty, and staff of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, joined together to provide encouragement and support to faculty members affected by the flooding in the area. They donated essential items to alleviate initial hardships and received additional support from Songkhla Rajabhat University. This assistance reflects the cooperation and compassion of all sectors within the Faculty of Education, standing together during these difficult times. The Faculty of Education expresses its sincere gratitude for everyone s kindness and support in this act of generosity.
On November 13, 2025, at the Aran Thammano Meeting Room, 8th floor, Administration Building, Songkhla Rajabhat University (SRU), a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was held for the development of special education within the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Assistant Professor Pichet Chantavee, President of Songkhla Rajabhat University, signed the agreement. This signing marks a significant collaboration between Songkhla Rajabhat University and 14 leading institutions and organizations in special education and quality of life for people with disabilities in Thailand. These organizations include: the Manfah Institute for Educational Research and Development of the Quality of Life for the Deaf; the Thai Network for Educational Therapy and Social Therapy; the Department of Empowerment and Development of the Quality of Life for People with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security; the Office of Special Education Administration, Office of the Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education; Anusarn Sunthorn School for the Deaf; Songkhla School for the Deaf; Chachoengsao Panyanukul School; and the Southern School for the Blind, Surat Thani Province. The participating schools include the Special Education School in the Southern Border Provinces Development Zone, Jittaree Educational Welfare School under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sri Savangavadhana, the Northern School for the Blind under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Phuket Provincial Special Education Center, Baan San Fan Pan Suk (a learning center for all ages), and the Krabi Provincial Special Education Center. Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, along with the executive committee, witnessed the signing ceremony. The primary objective of this collaboration is to build a strong network for the sustainable development of special education in Thailand across all dimensions. This focuses on education, research, and development of knowledge, innovation, and curricula and teaching methods that are appropriate and aligned with the needs of students with special requirements. Furthermore, it aims to sustainably improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and to drive mechanisms to strengthen families with children with disabilities. This collaboration will be a crucial foundation for raising standards and creating equal educational opportunities for students with special needs in the country.
On November 11, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop on "Driving the Development of Appropriate Curricula that Meet the Needs and Align with the Nature of Special Needs Learners" at the Pairoj Duangwiset Meeting Room 68-302, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Assistant Professor Nidarin Julawan, Deputy Dean for Research, gave the opening remarks. Distinguished speakers included Dr. Jitprapa Sri-on, Director of the Manfah Institute; Dr. Sukhsiri Danthanavanich, expert in Thai Sign Language; and Ms. Chanram Kaewkhamnoi and Ms. Sujitra Sukhla, teachers from the Manfah Institute. They shared their knowledge and experience to enhance the quality, equity, and appropriateness of special education. The workshop, held from November 11-13, 2025, was well-attended by administrators from special education schools, inclusive/integrated schools, curriculum coordinators, early childhood teachers, and primary school teachers. The main objective is to develop the capacity of participants to effectively design curricula that meet the individual needs of children with special needs.
On November 10, 2025, the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University (SRU), held a selection process for students applying to participate in the "Educational Exchange Program at Can Tho University, Vietnam." The objective was to provide students with knowledge, understanding, and a broader perspective on educational teaching in an international context. The rigorous interview process took place in Room Vanda 68-305, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Assistant Dean Dr. Ekaphon Pairoj and Faculty member Nina Ariani served as the interview panel to assess the students readiness and potential for participation in the exchange program. This selection marks a significant step for the Faculty of Education, SRU, in providing students with international experience and preparing them to become modern teachers who understand cultural and educational diversity.
On November 7, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sopon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, chaired the 4th/2025 meeting of the Faculty of Education s Standing Committee. The meeting was held both online via Zoom and in-person at Room 68-606, Faculty of Education. Distinguished experts, faculty representatives, curriculum chairpersons, and the Head of the Dean s Office participated in the meeting to consider and exchange ideas on important issues related to management, curriculum development, and ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of education within the Faculty of Education.
Eleven students from the Bachelor of Education program in Mathematics, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, represented the Songkhla Rajabhat University competition center in Songkhla Province at the “Mastery Excellence & Talent through STEM” (METS) Creative Math Competition 2025 – Battle of the Numbers All Star Intelligent Contest Thailand Championship. The competition was held on November 6, 2025, at Meeting Room 1-4, Phutthawichalai Building, Phra Nakhon Rajabhat University, Bangkok, and organized by the International Association for the Future STEM Workforce (IAFSW). As a result of the competition, Mr. Parawat Warinkaew, a third-year student, won first place, along with a scholarship of 30,000 baht, a trophy, and a certificate. Mr. Woraphat Kongprasom, a third-year student, won second place, along with a scholarship of 20,000 baht, a trophy, and a certificate. Both students have earned the right to represent Thailand in the international competition. Next up is South Korea.
On November 3, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, along with the faculty s administrators and support staff, traveled to send off Mr. Thanyathorn Yothi on the occasion of his appointment as Director of the Central Division, Office of the President, and Ms. Pavarisa Thongrak, Senior Educational Specialist, who is transferring to the Faculty of Industrial Technology. On this occasion, Assistant Professor Pichet Chantavee, President of Songkhla Rajabhat University, along with the faculty s administrators and support staff from the Office of the President, warmly welcomed them at Building 48, Office of the President. Following this, the Faculty of Education s administrators proceeded to the Faculty of Industrial Technology to officially transfer Ms. Pavarisa Thongrak. They were welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Veerachai Mattharak, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, along with the faculty s administrators and support staff. The atmosphere was warm, reflecting the good relationship between the departments within Songkhla Rajabhat University.
On November 3, 2025, the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, welcomed Ms. Warittha Tantipong, Head of the Faculty of Education Office, and Ms. Yupadee Phansath, General Administration Officer, on the occasion of their official assumption of office and commencement of duties at the Dean s Office, Faculty of Education. On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, along with the executive committee and support staff, extended a warm welcome. Associate Professor Dr. Kritthasapol Nooprom, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, along with the executive committee and support staff of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and Ms. Aimorn Aosakul, Director of the Office of Academic Promotion and Registration, along with the Deputy Directors and support staff of the Office, also attended to send off and congratulate them on their new positions. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
On November 2, 2025, the Graduate Certificate Program in Teacher Professionalism, Faculty of Education, organized a lecture and seminar for students after completing their teaching practice in schools (2) at the Nirat Chorjit Meeting Room (68–307), Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University. Dr. Phet Rongpol, Chair of the Graduate Certificate Program in Teacher Professionalism, presided over the opening ceremony. The program featured distinguished speakers including Mr. Thichaphan Soe, a teacher from Ban Na School; Assistant Professor Dr. Jongkol Buakaew; Dr. Maneenuch Rongpol, a lecturer from the Faculty of Education; and Dr. Kulapat Yingdamnoon, a lecturer from the College of Innovation and Management. They shared their experiences in teaching and reflected on the results of their teaching practice in schools.
On October 25, 2025, the Bachelor of Education program in Physical Education, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, held the “Sports Teacher Appreciation Ceremony, Merit-Making Ceremony, and Blessing Ceremony for Physical Education Students” for the 2025 academic year at the gymnasium of Songkhla Rajabhat University. In the morning, Assistant Professor Pichet Chantavee, President of Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the Buddhist merit-making ceremony to bring good fortune to faculty and students, followed by an Islamic ceremony led by an Imam, reflecting respect for religious diversity. The afternoon featured “Building Relationships Among Physical Education Students” through various sports activities to foster unity and good relationships among students of all years. In the evening, a blessing ceremony was held for the students, presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Nakul Sothiphan, along with faculty members from the Physical Education program, to boost morale and instill pride in being part of the “Physical Education Community of Songkhla Rajabhat University.”
On October 30, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the 7th/2025 meeting of the Faculty of Education s Executive Committee. The meeting was held in Room 68-606, Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, to discuss and consider important matters in the administration and operation of the Faculty of Education s mission. The Executive Committee, including the Vice Deans, Assistant Deans, Program Chairs, Heads of Offices, and Heads of Units, were all present.
On October 25, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sophon Chaiwatnakulvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Songkhla Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar for administrators, mentor teachers, and coordinators of network schools involved in teacher professional development for student teachers undertaking teaching practice in three educational institutions. The seminar was held via ZOOM Cloud Meetings to explore ways to improve teacher professional practice and to ensure that student teaching practices strictly adhere to the professional standards of the Teachers Council of Thailand. Associate Dean for Research and Professional Practice, Dr. Thapanawat Sukpala, moderated the entire project. This marks a significant step in consolidating efforts between higher education institutions and network schools to produce high-quality teacher graduates who meet professional standards.
